In the Pet Shop

Published by icybc at 6:51 pm under Others Edit This

Continuing on our little adventure in a local pet shop, my son found a Yellow Canary, a parakeet, and an iguana! He was thrilled that no one have stopped him from snapping these pictures.

This yellow canary is priced at one hundred dollars, and just so beautiful to watch! We never have a bird as pet, and at this price, I don’t think we will either.

This parakeet is so colorful, and is housed in a largest cage with many other parakeets. The price for this parakeet is much more affordable, but my heart would not be happy to watch the bird in a cage every day!

Last but not least on my son’s camera is this iguana! Iguana is a fascinating creature to watch, but to have it as a pet; I would not know how to handle it.

Though we spent more time in the pet shop than originally planned, I welcomed the little off track that my son seemed to provide every time we go somewhere. It is the break that I often needed to rejuvenate.

Oh Icy, this brought a tear to me. A tear of happiness. I had two yellow canaries, Harry and Petey both of which now passed on. I love canaries so much so seeing this one brought back so many happy memories for me. Thank you for posting :)

wow, love that yellow canary, at $100, I do not think I will have that as pet either, also, like you, I do not want to see the bird in a cage, and I may not know how to handle and manage them too. I will get sad if it becomes sick from my mismanagement.

Great pics! I didn’t realize that birds cost so much money in the pet store. My mom didn’t spend that much money on her birds. She bought them at Valley Fair (A store in New Jersey. I’m not sure if there where you live), and they didn’t cost that much. I think she spent about $25 or 30$ and she also bought things to go with them.
